Earl J. Lorio, age 90, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on 
Thursday, June 09, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo 
Catholic Church from 8 AM until 10 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 
at the church starting at 10 AM 

with burial to follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church cemetery.

Earl is survived by his son, Stephen Lorio; brothers-in-law, CJ Knobloch and 
wife Carole and Cameron Knobloch and wife Janice.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Knobloch Lorio; parents, Albert 
and Victoria Lorio; and sisters, Rita L. Matherne and Sister Helen Lorio.

Earl served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a high school teacher for 37 
years; mostly at Central Lafourche High School and was a member of the Knights 
of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic charities.
