EMILIE GRIFFIN MAYET, age 76, passed on June 16, 2016. 

She was a resident of The Broadway Elder Living & Rehabilitation Facility in 
Lockport and a native of Grand Isle. 

She is survived by four children; Lisa Theriot Bouzigard (Timmy), Cheryl 
Theriot Bosch (Leslie), Dwayne Theriot and Rickey Theriot (Lisa); 8 
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 
She is also survived by 3 sisters; Elma Griffin Avery, Erlene Griffin Crosby, 
Jeanette Griffin Orgeron and 3 generations of nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her son, Raleigh Theriot, Jr.; her parents, John 
Griffin and Henriette Barthélemy Lafont; 3 brothers, Clovis, Sherman, and James 
Griffin; and 2 sisters, Barbara Griffin Theriot and Brenda Griffin. 

Ms. Mayet donated her body to science thru Tulane University School of 
Medicine. 

In lieu of services, her family will hold a memorial balloon release in August.
