Carrie Moultrie Mitchell, 52, a native and a resident of Raceland, passed away 
peacefully at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, 
June 23 at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 146 Banks St. in Houma, LA. 

Burial will follow in Morristown Benevolent Cemetery. 

She is survived by her sons, David Moultrie (Carmen), Joseph Moultrie, Jordan 
Moultrie and Nicholas Calloway; daughters, Dominique Moultrie, Dora Moultrie 
and Latoya Richard (Rickey); thirteen grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren; brothers, Albert Taylor and Isaac Moultrie; sisters, Martha 
Calloway (Royal), Elouise Smith (Percy), Beulah Calloway, Alma Moultrie and 
Susie Lagard (David). 

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Mitchell, Jr.; son, Herbert 
Mitchell, III.; parents, Isaac and Elouise Moultrie; brother, Walter Moultrie; 
sisters, Eartha Moultrie and Mary Robinson. 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
