Mabel Mahler Morvant 92 was born on June 29, 1923 and entered eternal rest 
Friday June 3, 2016. 
She was a native and resident of Kraemer, La.

A visitation will be held on Monday June 6, 2016 at St. Lawrence the Martyr 
Church in Kraemer, La. from 8am till a Mass of Christian burial at 11am 

with interment to follow at St. Lawrence the Martyr Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter Debra Lassere and husband Louis. Her siblings 
Gertrude Simoneaux, Albert Mahler Sr. and wife Lucy, Butley Mahler Sr., Lester 
Mahler and wife Margaret, Henrietta M. Landry and husband Junius; grandchildren 
Annekia Prudhomme, Kacy Lassere, Betsy Martin, Laurie Neelis, and Trey 
Prudhomme, and great-grandchildren William and Laura Catherine Prudhomme; 
sister-in-law Lucy Mae K. Mahler, Loredia G. Mahler and Eunice Himel.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elton “Johnny” Morvant; parents Henry 
Mahler Sr. and Florentine Durocher Mahler; daughter Gail Morvant; siblings 
Louis Mahler Sr. and wife Lois, Louise Constant and husband Adolph Jr., Vincent 
Mahler and wife Jeanne, Claude Mahler Sr, Norman Mahler, Alidore Mahler, Henry 
Mahler Jr. and wife Carlotta, Jeanne Guidry and husband Ignace, Francis Reulet 
and husband Antoine; brother-in-law Eugene Simoneaux, sister-in-law Verna 
Cortez Carriere.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and visiting over a cup of coffee. She 
especially loved having her family all together and treasured being a Mawmaw to 
all.
