Jose "Chepe" Jorge Illescas Pineda, 69, a native of Guatemala and a resident of 
Houma, passed away on June 18, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Samart Funeral Home of 
Houma from 9am - 12pm. The funeral services will be at 12pm on Wednesday, June 
22, 2016 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. 

Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Leonard Illescas; daughter, Maria Lucia 
Illescas Mendez and husband David Hernandez -Mendez; grandchildren, Gabriella 
Ofelia H. Mendez, David Jose H. Mendez and Leonora "The Queen" Maria H. Mendez; 
brothers, Carlos Pineda; sisters, Maria Luisa Pineda, Clara Pineda, Zolia 
Pineda, and Lydia Pineda.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Luisa Pineda; father, Jose J. 
Illescas; brother, Miguel Pineda, Oscar Pineda; sister, Maria Alisia Pineda.

Chepe was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be 
greatly missed.

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
