Her sunset was 5:50AM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the age of 87. Mrs. Velta was a native of Abbeville LA and a resident of Bourg LA. Honoring the life of Mrs Velta, there will be a visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, LA on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 5:00PM to 9:00Pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Abbeville LA at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church from 10:00am until service time with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00AM. Burial will follow services in St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville, LA. She is survived by one son, Stephen Broussard and wife Linda and daughter LeeAnn Jane Lott and husband Ernest Wayne Lott, one sister Hazel Harrington, brother Lanest Campbell, ten grand children and ten great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Etienne Broussard, two sons, Edter Ray Broussard, Etienne Broussard Jr., her parents Ellas and Eline Broussard Campbell, two brothers, Daniel Campbell and Elson Campbell and brother-in-law Mildrage Harrington. Velta was retired from the Department of Transportation, and also the Army Corp of Engineers. She was a hard worker all her life. Work was what she loved. She "work" outside of the house, loved her flowers, and her vegetable garden. She also enjoyed most of all to go the church which was a must when she was well and able. She enjoyed reading Christian Books and the Word of God. Velta was a person who was loved by many. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Broussard family. ======================
