She was a native of Raceland, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 9:00am to service time, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with burial to follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, Son, Thomas Jude Duplantis and wife Darla Florez Duplantis; Daughters, Jean Theresa Lake and husband Bill Jr., Donna Ann Duet and husband Frank, Christa Duplantis-Prather and husband Charles; Grandchildren: Richard L. Bell,Jr., Christopher Lake, Thomas Anthony and Angela Grace Duplantis; Step-Grand Son, Dr. Brad Lake . and wife Rachel and step great-grandson, Liam Lake;Sister: Doris and husband Marvin Hoob; Sisters- in-Law, Rita Pertuit, Betty Pertuit and Earline Pertuit (Nin) Pitre. She was preceded in death by her, Husband of 30 years, Floyd Jean Duplantis; Parents, Benson Joseph Pertuit Sr. and Leah Diez Pertuit; Brothers, Nelson, Harold, Howard, Edward and Benson Pertuit, Jr. and Sister: DeEtte Zeringue. She was a loving mother who loved life, gardening, cooking, singing, dancing and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Parish and also a choir member. Robbie was a Licensed Practical Nurse who was very active in community affairs and a life time member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary and other Veterans affiliations. She was the proud recipient of "Women of the Year" award in 1970. Donations preferred to the American Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society Chauvin Funeral Home is proud to serve the Duplantis family. ======================
