A memorial visitation will be held in her honor on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA from 8:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. The burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Larry J. Legendre; three daughters, Patricia L. Busby husband, George, Cindy L. Bernard husband, Harry and Charlene L. Bernard husband, Johnny; daughter-in-law, Gloria H. Legendre; six grandchildren, Ben Bernard wife, Liza, Lee Bernard wife, Sarah, Brad Bernard, Shawn Yates companion, Robin Melancon, Jake Legendre wife, Joanne and Lori Durocher husband, Derrick; five great-grandchildren, Kylie and Cameron Legendre, Dane and Drake Durocher and Gracie Bernard; one brother, Joseph C. Kliebert; one sister, Loice Tregre; two sister-in-law’s, Pauline Kliebert and Audrey Legendre; as well as numerous nieces and nephews . She is preceded in death by her only son, Byron J. Legendre; parents, Adrian and Uranie Kliebert; two brothers, Mark and Paul Kliebert. Dixie was a loving and devoted wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. A passionate outspoken person with a generous heart, fun loving spirit and a great sense of humor, she was the life of the party and loved being with family and friends. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, and Ladies Altar Society. ======================
