Dorothy Marie Parnell, 90, resident of Houma and a native of Brookhaven, MS 
passed away on July 22, 2016.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Samart Funeral Home of 
Houma from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on 
Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, at 5:00 pm.

She is survived by her daughter - Patricia Reece and husband Jann Rick; five 
sons - Roland Kenneth James and wife Mary Sue, Douglas Floyd James, Charles Ray 
James, Edward Bryant Parnell and Richie Phillip Parnell. Grandchildren - 21, 
Great Grandchildren - 40, Great Great Grandchildren - 5

She was preceded in death by. Husband - James P. Parnell, Parents - Sherman and 
Bessie Tillman Redd, Brothers - James Lee Redd, Randolph Redd, Douglas Frank 
Redd. Sister - Aileen Redd Baswell.

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
