Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1607.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Berris "Pops" Joseph Scioneaux Sr., 74, born February 14, 1942, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Chackbay, LA. A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux, LA from 9:00 am until the Religious Service at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, LA. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Judy Scioneaux; two sons, Berris Scioneaux, Jr., Jason Scioneaux; daughter, Samantha Scioneaux and fiancée, Charles Ryan Davidson; granddaughters, Alexia Bonaventure and Marilyn Davidson; sister, Jackie Breaux and companion, Norman Dupre. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecile and Harris Scioneaux, Sr.; two brothers, Harris Scioneaux, Jr. and Larry Scioneaux; one sister, Kathleen Gautreaux. Berris was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a huge Saints fan and football fan and loved his dog, Prince of 16 years. He was a man who knew no strangers and was known for his jokes and sense of humor. He will be loved and sadly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center for the care they gave. ======================
