Betty Jane Alvis a native of Terrebonne and Resident of Houma, La. passed away 
on Saturday August 20, 2016 at age 76. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday August 27, 
2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Residence Baptist Church, 2605 Isaac Street, Houma, La., 

with interment in Union Benevolent Cemetery. 

She is survived by her son, Edward Charles Alvis; brother, Sylvester Morris. 
Proceeded in Death by her husband, Freddie Alvis, Sr.; parents, Charles Sr. and 
Velma Lyons Morris; brothers, Roland Sr. and Charles Morris 

Jr. She was a member of the Union Benevolent Association of Terrebonne Parish 

Gertrude Geddes Willis- Terrebonne Funeral Home 617 Bond St. in charge of 
service.
