Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until Service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Mr. Bordelon was a native of Rayne, LA and lived most of his life in Houma. He is preceded in death by his parents Marcus and Marguerite Bordelon; brother Steve Bordelon; and his sisters Myra Burson and Laurie Bordelon. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joanne Bordelon and his four sons: Jake and his wife Rebecca of Houma, Bill and his wife Hollie of San Antonio, John and his wife Leslie of Houston and Jeff and his wife Layne of Houma; brother Douglas Bordelon and his wife Jackie of Rayne, LA. He was the proud grandfather of 5 grandchildren: Cade, Ryan, Rory, Sloane and Liam Bordelon and many nieces and nephews. He was a long-time member of the Offshore Marine Services Association (OMSA) and over his career established himself as one of the industry’s leading experts in the field of offshore vessel mooring equipment and systems. He was recognized and respected as such by the major vessel fleet operators in the industry and his competitors alike. Mr. Bordelon was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to cook and entertain. His bar-b-que pork roast was a favorite among his family and friends. His other hobbies included playing golf and cards and pulling practical jokes on those he loved. Besides his sense of humor, he was known for his generosity. He supported several charities including the Sister Dulce Foundation, the Haiti Mission, The Haven and countless others that he chose to keep anonymous. The family wishes to extend warm and special thanks to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and St. Joseph Hospice. Chauvin Funeral Home is Honored to serve the Bordelon family. ======================
