Bouffanie, 85, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galliano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery, Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Thelma T. Bouffanie; children, Darlene Mayet (Ward), Paula Wallace (Daniel), Mark Bouffanie (Vanessa), Netty Ann Trahan (Kenneth Sr.); grandchildren Tiffany, Jill, Reggie, Huey III, Helen, Trent, Markie; step grandchildren, Joboa, Kenneth Jr., Payton; great grandchildren, Angel, Jesty Jr., Shawn, Ian, Wyatt, Ashley, Blaise, Elizabeth, Jared, Brianna, Cobin, Madelen, Brailey, Summer; step great grandchildren, Brendon, Hemi, Karma, Savyn, Preslyn, Gracelyn and Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale and Eve Arceneaux Bouffanie; son, Curtis Bouffanie; brothers, Francis, Alsey, Ernest Bouffanie, Jr.; sisters, Ida Orgeron, Landa Smith, Therese Deogracias, Theresa Duet, Rosalie Bruce and Pearly Plaisance. Irvin was a Korean War Veteran; lifetime member and many years commander of American Legion Post 315 of Galliano, 54 year member American Legion; 3rd District Vice-Commander; past Department Vice-Commander, Department Executive Committeeman; American Legion Baseball Regional Chairman and Director of Bayou Centroplex. He enjoyed going to Casino, calling Bingo and joking with grandkids and great grandkids and he loved Christmas. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
