Roy Joseph Bourgeois, 73, a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Raceland, 
Louisiana passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Monday, August 15, 2016 at St. 
Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1985 Highway 308, Thibodaux, LA 70301) from 
8:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. 

The burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church cemetery, 
Thibodaux, LA.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Mire Bourgeois; daughters, 
Angie B. Chiasson and husband, Brian; Denise Bourgeois and fiance, Jamey 
Bourgeois; 4 grandsons, Devin Chiasson, Brady Breaux, Trey Breaux, Quentin 
Breaux; and 1 great-grandson, Wilson James Chiasson; and sister, Shirley 
Bourgeois Chiasson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Bessie Bonvillian Bourgeois; 
and brother, Jerry Bourgeois.

Roy was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church, where he was a member of 
the Knights of Columbus Council #12060. He was a loving husband, father, 
grandfather, and great-grandfather who was affectionately loved by everyone he 
met. 
He was a simple man that did simple acts, which brought love and smiles to 
those he met. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
