Violet Grabert Dupre, 97, a native of Raceland and a resident of Houma, 
departed this life to her heavenly home on August 26, 2016, surrounded by her 
loving family.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Samart Funeral Home of 
Houma from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume Monday, August 29, 
2016 from 9:00am until 11:00am at the Christian Assembly Church. The Funeral 
Service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Christian Assembly Church, 
at 11:00 am. 

Burial will take place in the St. Louis Cemetery.

She is survived by her five daughters, Betty Gros (Bud), Bertie Gilfour, Dena 
Voisin (Primo), Trudy Arcement, Bonnie Wayman (John); two sisters, Vivian 
Giroir, Pearl Harson; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren ; 2 great great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Dupre; father, Harris Grabert; 
mother, Edna Pertuit Grabert; grandchildren - Darren Gilfour and Ricky Guidry, 
brothers - Lionel, Lindsey, Floyd and Harris Grabert Sr.; sisters - Zona 
Darcey, Florence Brunet, Belle Labit and Annabelle Pellerin.

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
