Barbara Oneida Franklin, 79, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of 
Houma, passed away peacefully at 1:24 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 
August 30 at the New First Corinthian Baptist Church located at 1114 Church St. 
in Houma. 

Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery. 

She is survived by her son Lawrence Kevin Townsend; and devoted godson, Kenneth 
Washington (Rebecca). 

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Townsend, Jr.; daughter, 
Patricia Townsend; parents, Kidd Franklin and Eva Matthews; and brothers. 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
