Alex Griffin, III, age 65, a native of New Orleans and resident of Raceland, 
peacefully left the earth on Tuesday, August 30, 2016.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on 
Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. 

Burial in Morristown Cemetery. 

Visiting will be held from 9am until the hour of service at 11am.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Jackie L. Griffin; 2 daughters, 
Denise Thomas and Shanice Hill; 1 son, Alex Griffin IV; 4 Step-children, 
Contrelle L. Lawson (Kara), Larry Hills Jr. (Candis), Carmalessia Hill Green 
(Edward), and Latranda Hill; 4 sisters, Barbara Pitts, Rosalind Edwards, 
Beverly G. Cole, Sandra Stipe, 1 brother, Eric Griffin (Sharon); 9 
grandchildren and host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Olivia and Alex Griffin, Jr.; grandparents, 
Hattie and Sampson Simmons, 1 brother, Bernard Griffin; 1 sister, Judy Griffin 
and a step daughter, Grace Hills.

Kennedy Funeral is in charge of arrangements
