He was a native of Pointe-Aux-Chenes, LA and resident of Montegut, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday August 8,2016 from 8:30 AM until service time at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Mass will be at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. He is survived by his, wife of 68 years, Joyce Dupre Ledet; sons, Mark & wife Yvonne of Houma, Steve and wife Shana of Montegut, Louis & wife Jennifer of Amelia, and Jeff and wife Melinda Ledet of Ohio; daughters, Maria Dupre & husband Andy of Thibodaux, Yvette Blanchard & husband Gerald of Montegut and Stephanie Trahan & husband Mike of Lafayette; sister, Della Rougeau; grandchildren, 22 ; great-grandchildren, 22; step-grandchildren, 11 and step- great-grandchildren, 25. He was preceded in death by his, son, Carl Ledet; parents, Charles and Cecile Ledet; brothers, Charles Jr., Pierre, Wilfred, John, Jean Paul, Paulin and Louis Ledet and sisters, Oline and Laise Ledet. Mr. Ledet was a Past Commander of American Legion, Member of V.F.W. He was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran. He also loved hunting, fishing, cutting grass and being with family and friends. He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church Parish. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ledet family. US Navy ======================
