Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1608.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== William Bernard Luciano Jr., 90, a native of Amsterdam, NY and longtime resident of Houma, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his home at Meramec Bluffs Senior Living in Ballwin, MO. He is survived by his two sons William B. Luciano III and his wife Catherine A. Luciano of Saint Albans, MO, and Mark R. Luciano and his wife Karen R. Luciano of Upper Arlington, OH; six grandchildren, Craig Luciano, Courtney Kaller and Christopher Luciano of Saint Louis, MO, and Brian Luciano, Kaitlin Luciano and Kimberly Luciano of Columbus, OH; and 5 great grandchildren; his brother Charles Luciano of Hopkinton, MA and sister Elizabeth Ross of Hagaman, NY and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years Stella Strada Luciano of Houma, and his parents William B. Luciano Sr. and Anne Curcio Luciano of Amsterdam, NY; his sister Isabel Myzal and brother Thomas Luciano of Gloversville, NY. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Coast Guard and was stationed at the Naval Air Station in Houma in the early 1940's. In 1946 he married Stella and they moved to New Orleans where he attended Tulane University and graduated in 1953. Following graduation, they settled in Houma where his business career started and spanned for 58 years. During those years, he was a partner in Kenny and Associates Insurance Agency until 1986 and later joined Watkins, Walker and Eroche in 1987 as a Comptroller and General Manager up until his retirement at age 85 in 2011. He also was the past President of the Terrebonne Independent Insurance Agency Association. He resided in Houma until 2015 when he relocated to the Saint Louis, MO area to be closer to his family. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed Tulane athletics, the New Orleans Saints and horse racing. He also enjoyed golf and played until he was 80 years old with his friends at Ellendale Country Club, where he was one of its founding members. He was a devoted husband and father and will be dearly missed. His caring nature and gregarious personality touched many lives and created wonderful memories for all of his family and friends. A private family service will be held October 22, 2016. He will be buried at the Mausoleum in Saint Francis Cemetery #2 in Houma. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL US Coast Guard ======================
