Gerald "Pete" F. Pennex, Sr., 78, a native of Greensburg, IN and resident of 
Raceland, LA, passed away on Monday, August 08, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10 at St. Mary's Nativity Church 
from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 
the church Wednesday starting at 11:00 am 

with burial to follow in St. Mary's Nativity Church cemetery.

Pete is survived by his wife of 60 years, Harriet Moore Pennex; sons, Gerald F. 
Pennex Jr. and his wife Diane, Darryl Pennex and his fiancée Vicki; daughters, 
Stephanie P. DeSilvey, Angela Martin and her husband Dale Jr., Benita Menendez 
and her husband David; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great 
great grandchildren.

The family would like to especially thank his brother-in-law, Raymond O. Moore, 
Jr. for his care and devotion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Pennix and Dorothy Clark Pennix 
Pleak and grandson, Michael A. Rogers.

Pete retired from Avondale in 2003. He loved the New Orleans Saints, fishing, 
casino trips and spending time with his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary's Nativity Catholic School.

Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
