Victoria M. Benoit, 96, a native of Chackbay, LA and a resident of Thibodaux, 
LA passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Our 
Lady of Prompt Succor in Chackbay, LA from 8:30 am until funeral time. A Mass 
of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am 

with burial to follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor cemetery in Chackbay.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Benoit, Clinton Benoit and wife, Nancy, 
Will Benoit and wife, Pam, Roland Benoit and wife, Dianne, and Howard Benoit 
and wife, Helen; daughter, Julie Dempster and husband, Randal "Stickle"; 15 
grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph "Jack" Benoit; 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levy Morvant; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Alcess Benoit; 
brothers, Sidney, Adley, Early, and Eves Morvant; sisters, "Taunte Med" Tabor, 
and Airlina Chiasson; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Benoit Morvant; and 
daughter-in-law, Priscilla Benoit.

She was a member of the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Altar Society.

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with handling the funeral 
arrangements.
