Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1609.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Joseph AJ “Pee Wee” Bonvillain, Sr., 96, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016. He was a native and resident of Thibodaux. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church from 8:30AM until funeral time. Military honors will begin at 10:00AM, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux. He is survived by his wife, Annabel Legendre Bonvillain; two children, Jo Ann Brou and husband, Jimmy and Joseph Bonvillain, Jr. and wife, Lisa; six grandchildren, Angelique Brou, James Brou and wife, Holli, Keli Dantin and husband, David, Lea Esteve and husband, Ron, Kevin Bonvillain and wife, Ashton, and Liddi Shields and husband, Trey; eight great-grandchildren, Anna, Mia, Matthew, Ella, Allie, Jack, Sam and Harry; one brother, Roy Bonvillain. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean Baptiste Bonvillain and Agnes Breaux Bonvillain; daughter, Joycelyn Bonvillain; grandson, Drew Bonvillain; brothers, Willie, E.J., John and Nolan; sister, Odile Oliver. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. As a charter member of the West Thibodaux Fire Department, he served as an officer for many years. He was a veteran and member of several local veterans groups. He served as an usher at St. Genevieve Church. He worked as a driller for an oilfield company and a mechanic for a tractor company. After retirement he enjoyed going to his camp, hunting and gardening. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and going to their activities. The family would like to thank the Staff of Lafourche Home for the Aged for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association of Louisiana. ======================
