He was surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Metairie and a resident of Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Francis De Sales Cemetery #2 Robbie is survived by his wife of 34 years Janet Trosclair Brescher; daughter, Jennifer Brescher and fiancé Jason Theriot; sons, Robert Brescher, Jr., Jordy and wife Stephanie Corde Brescher; grandchildren, Lani LeBlanc, Bailey and Jordyn Brescher, Gabrielle Borne; brothers, William “Billy” and wife Theresa Brescher. Robbie is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas, Sr. and Dorothy Schifferstein Brescher; brother, Nicholas James Brescher, Jr. Robbie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, watching LSU football and spending time with his family. He loved his grandchildren dearly and cherished spending time with them. He worked for Sealand Mechanical for 20 years and currently held the position of Master Electrician. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
