Hollis "Puttin" Gwen Dawson III, 57, a native of Houma and a resident of Powder 
Springs, GA, passed away peacefully at 4:43 a.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016. 

Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 
September 24 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel located at 6775 West Park Avenue in 
Houma. 

Burial will follow in First Baptist Cemetery in Schriever. 

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Johnson Dawson; brothers, Frederick 
(Susan), Kenneth, Mark, Joel and Deon Dawson; stepsons, Reggie Kingcannon, 
David Kingcannon, and Cody Robinson; and grandson, Khennoah Kingcannon . He was 
preceded in death by his parents, Hollis, Jr. and Octavia Bonds-Dawson. 

Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
