FONTENOT, BURNITA STARKEY 
May 23, 1931 - September 19, 2016

Burnita Rose Starkey Fontenot, 85, a native of Hammond and resident of 
Thibodaux, LA, died September 19, 2016 at 6:30 AM.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her son, Mark Stanley Fontenot and companion Robin Mire; 
daughter, Belinda Ann Fontenot Benoit and husband Paul; grandchildren, Amber 
Benoit, Clint Benoit, Jamey Fontenot, Bryan Fontenot, Eric Fontenot, Angel 
Bourgeois and Amy Fontenot; great grandchildren, Gavin, Gage, Hayley, Kayleigh 
and Aubrey Fontenot; sister, Ramona Amber Starkey McLee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Belvin Joseph Fontenot; parents, 
Frank Mark Starkey and Rose Elizabeth Smith Starkey; daughter, Brenda Elizabeth 
Fontenot Bourgeois Pitre; brothers, Frank Starkey and Raymond Starkey.

She was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Church and a member of the Ladies 
Altar Society at St. Genevieve.
