Mr. Willie Holmes, Sr, 74. A resident of Terrebonne Parish passed away 
peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at his residence.

The Life of Mr. Holmes will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at New 
Magnolia Baptist Church 427 Hwy 311, Schriever, LA 70395. Visitation from 
9:00a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m.

Interment at Halfway Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 51 years, Delores Brown 
Holmes of Houma, LA. Five daughters, Debbie Holmes and LaTina Holmes of Houma, 
LA, Shelia Holmes Bergeron (Donald), Laura and Rhonda Holmes of Gray, LA. Two 
sons, Ronald and Willie Holmes, Jr. of Gray, LA. Two step-sons, Lloyd Chatman 
(Mable) of Georgia and Claude Brown of Gray, LA. Two step-daughters, Joyce Lee 
(Harold) of Gray, LA and Jeannie Rice of TX. Four brothers, Sterling, Raymond 
and Michael Holmes of Thibodaux, LA and Joseph Holmes of Hunta, LA. 20 
grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Holmes, Sr., and Georgiana 
Lovely Holmes. One daughter, Barbara Lynn Holmes. Brothers, Arthur, Jr., 
Jerome, Leroy and Elmore Holmes. Sisters, Ruth Jones, Marion, Lillie Mae, 
Rosetta Holmes, Joyce H. McBridge, Hilda H. Mitchell, Shirley H. Pharagood, 
Mercededs H. Tunson and four grandchildren.

Community Funeral Home of Houma, Inc. is in charge of funeral arrangements.
