Rita Adams LeCompte, native of Cutoff, LA and a resident of Chauvin, LA, passed 
away on Sunday, September 4, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 9:30am - 11:30am at 
St. Joseph Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be at 11:30am on Friday, 
September 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chauvin, LA.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth LeCompte and wife Pat; daughters, Mona 
Whitney and husband Jimmy Whitney, Jr. and Veronica Dupre and husband Arthur 
Dupre, Jr.; 9 grandchildren, Wayne LeCompte, Christy Duplantis, Kenneth 
LeCompte, James Whitney, Matthew Whitney, Monica Camille, Kelly Dupre, Betsy 
Gros, Cody Dupre; and 20 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, Evinse "Neg" LeCompte; parents, Abel 
Adams, Sr. and Neige Pitre Adams; brothers, Abel Adams, Jr., Clarence Cye 
Adams, Henry Adams, and Hayes Adams, Sr.; sisters, Isabella Gisclair, Leontine 
Callais, Thelma Exposito, Earline Collins, and Jane Martin.
