He was a native and a resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 9 AM until funeral time at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 3 years, Paige Portier McGehee; son, Cooper James McGehee and one on the way Raymond James McGehee, IV; mother, Chrystal LeCompte and companion, Darren Price, Sr.; brothers, Phillip (Jessica) Fangue, Jacob (Rikki) Fangue, and Darren (Alex) Price, Jr.; sisters, Bridget Fangue, Jessica McGehee and Mindie (Judd) Burdon; grandparents, Gary Sr. and Bonna Breaux LeCompte; mother-in-law, Corinne LeCompte Portier; brothers-in-law, Chad (Angela) Portier, Sr., Robbie (Ashley) Portier, and Russell Portier, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Buffy (Kevin) Domangue, Jaime (Howard) LeBoeuf, Gena (Hunter) Trahan, and Kate Portier; grandparent, June Domangue LeCompte; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Russell Portier, Sr.; grandparents, William and Effie LeBoeuf LeCompte, Phillip and Linda Blanchard Breaux, and Jacob A. LeCompte, Sr.; uncle, Gary LeCompte, Jr. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA. He was employed with Sealand Mechanical in Houma, LA. He was a one of a kind son, brother, husband, and dad who adored his family. Determined to be the best husband and father he could be. He was always willing to go above and beyond to care for his loved ones. His hard work and dedication remained persistent in everything he did. With the love and support of friends and family, Ray can rest in peace knowing his wife and children will be taken care of.
