Born on October 15, 1925, in Beaumont, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Cass and Alice Bookman. Bobbie was known for her outgoing personality and "never met a stranger". While living most of her life in Houma, LA, she was a longtime volunteer at Terrebonne General Hospital and an artist who often exhibited her award winning pieces of art, all while being a loving Mother. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, chaperoned the Terrebonne High School Tigerettes drill squad, was a teenage counselor at church and aided with the Junior Miss and Houma Beauty Pageants. She was also very active in the First United Methodist Church of Houma, either teaching, hosting, or decorating, as well as numerous clubs in the area. In 2008, she moved to Houston, TX, and resided at Eagle's Trace Retirement Community. During this time, she made many new friends and was often referred to as "the mayor of Eagle's Trace". She is survived by her children Bonnie (Charlie) Davidson, Kathy (Tim) Mitchell, Gary (Jo Ellen) Gresham, and Bill Gresham as well as eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her identical twin sister Billie (George) Cummins, and her brothers Jack Bookman and Bryan Bookman. Her first husband, Leroy Gresham and her second husband, Donald Rhea, preceded her in death. Two memorial services are planned. The first one will be on September 17, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Houma, located at 6109 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360 at 3:00pm. Interment will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, located at 3658 W. Main St., Gray, LA 70359. The second memorial service information can be viewed at carterfuneral- houston.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Grace Isaiah, for her loving care, as well as Hospice Compassus for the professional care and dignity shown to Mother and the family. ======================
