Mr. Lionel "Bob Bo" Thomas, Jr., 58. A native of Gibson, LA and a resident of 
Houma, LA died on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 4:10p.m.

Lionel Thomas was born to the union of Lionel Thomas, Sr., and Dorothy Watson 
Thomas on November 24, 1957 in New Orleans, LA. He was baptized at an early age 
at Beulah Baptist Church in Gibson, LA. In 1993 he became a member of Pilgrim 
Grove Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA under the leadership of Rev. Harold 
Henderson, Sr. He was ordained as a deacon on December 9, 2007 and he was a 
faithful member of the church.

Visitation will be held at Community Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, 
LA 70360 on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 5:00-8:00p.m.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Thomas will be held at Pilgrim Grove 
Baptist Church 398 Greenwood Rd., Morgan City, LA 70380 on Wednesday, September 
21, 2016. Visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m. His service 
will be officiated by Rev. Carl Lewis. 

Interment at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery 3755 Bayou Black Drive Houma, LA 
70360.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Gina Bourgeois Thomas. One son, 
Mitchell Lionel Thomas and one daughter, Sharena Lynell Thomas. One brother, 
Bruce Thomas and three sisters, Carmen (Jimmy) Jacobs, Sharon Thomas and 
Crissie (James) Ray.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel Thomas, Sr., and Dorothy Watson 
Thomas. One brother, Wayne Thomas and one sister, Carol Ann Thomas Trosclair.
