Richard "Sleepy" P Brunet, a native of Houma, Louisiana and resident of 
Chackbay, Louisiana passed away on October 5, 2016.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Our Lady 
of Prompt Succor Church Chackbay, Louisiana from 8:30 am until the Mass of 
Christian Burial at 11:00 am. 

The burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church's cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debbie Chiasson Brunet; son, Corey 
Ortis; sister, Shirley Rodrigue; two brothers, Earl Brunet, LJ Brunet; brother-
in-law, Danna Chiasson and wife, Gail; two nephews, Cody Chiasson and wife 
Tiffany, great nephew, Lucas Chiasson; and godchild, Lacy Turner and husband 
Nick.

He was preceded in death by his father, Columbus Brunet; mother, Missie Brunet; 
six brothers, Sylvan Brunet, Luby Brunet, Wilson Brunet, Allen Brunet, Carrol 
Brunet, Roy Brunet; two sisters, Mayola Cunningham, Thelma Carlos.

He will be loved and missed by all.
