She was the daughter of James "Ricco" Clement and Victoria Bergeron, and step- daughter of Laura Clement and Mark Colwart. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, October 21, 2016, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by her mentioned parents and step-parents, grandmothers Maudrey Bergeron and Bonnie Clement; siblings, Shana Clement Guidry, Rachael and Phillip Parfait, Clay Theriot III, Crystal Theriot, and Katy Theriot; uncles and aunts; John Clement, Paul and Cindy Clement, Danny and Dewanna Bergeron, Mike and Amy Bergeron, Trudy Clement, Tina and David Granger, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was the God-Mother of Paul Clement Jr., and Rosa Valdivia. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, James Clement Sr. and CJ Bergeron; Brother-in-Law, Levi Guidry, and nephew Brayden Theriot. Hailey lived her early youth in Cocodrie, where she developed a passion for the water. During Hailey's early elementary school years, she was fearless and extremely gregarious; she would often start a conversation with an adult who was a complete stranger and she would tell them things that would sometimes be totally embarrassing for someone to say that was older. When she was a preteen, she moved to Houma and became a little more reserved as she matured, but Hailey was always kind to anyone she met. Hailey spent her summers at her grandmother's house with her cousins, riding her bike to the pool everyday. She was an excellent swimmer and was a member of the Ellendale Swim Team. During her teens, she became an avid tennis player and played on the varsity team at Terrebonne High School where she earned a letterman's jacket. During her senior year in high school, Hailey was a part-time employee at Clement Insurance; after graduating Terrebonne High School in 2012, Hailey began working full-time at Clement Insurance. However, Hailey wanted more than what Houma offered. In the spring of 2014, Hailey moved to Venice Beach, California. After Hailey arrived, her father informed her that the daughter of his first cousin was in Los Angeles; Hailey met up with her cousin, Lauren Keane, and they quickly became best friends and roommates. Within three months, Hailey became a licensed State Farm agent. But Hailey wanted to be out of an office, so she put in her notice and became a hostess at James' Beach. Still desiring to be on the water, Hailey started working at Marina Del Ray; there she rented jet skis, paragliding adventures, sailboats, and other gear for water sports. Hailey loved this job and was a dedicated employee. Hailey also started surfing and practicing yoga; she had become a bona fide member of the Venice Beach community where she would take "her baby" (her little dog named Moe) for walks… she absolutely loved living in Venice Beach. But Hailey's life was tragically ended Sunday morning, October 16th, in a car accident on her way to work. There are so many thing about Hailey that will be missed, but never forgotten: Hailey was a free-spirit, loving, caring, compassionate, big-hearted beautiful girl. She always had a smile, and the last couple of years of her life were moments of peace, finding herself and her strength, and experiencing life. In the short time she's had here on Earth, she has lived more life than some people do in a lifetime. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Clement family. ======================
