Joel Thomas Cook Sr., 89, a native of Shreveport and a resident of Houma, 
passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 19, 2016.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 24, 2016 from 10am to 12pm at 
Annunziata Church. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 
at 12pm at Annunziata Church. 

Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

He is survived by his
Children- Kathleen Doucet, Patricia Rhodes and husband Benny, Jeffrey Cook and 
wife Audra, Joel Cook, Jr. and wife Carrie, Amy Moore and husband Timmy, Dale 
Cook and wife Mary, and Andrew Cook and wife Ann
Grandchildren- 18
Great Grandchildren- 20

He was preceded in death by his
Loving Wife of 64 years- Mary Jane Boudreaux Cook
Parents- James Cecil Cook and Eula Mae Hancock
Children- Bruce Cook and Michael Cook
Brothers- Charles Cook, Billy Joe Cook, and J.C. Cook

Joel was a veteran in the United States Air Force and retired from Haliburton 
after 34 years of service. He loved being with his family first and foremost as 
well as airplanes and fishing, and was a skilled toy maker. He never met a 
stranger in his 89 years and was loved by many and will be fondly remembered by 
family, friends, and neighbors.

The family would like to give special thanks to all his caregivers for their 
love and compassion.
