Elizabeth Girlinghouse, 92, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, October 16, 
2016 surrounded by her loving family.  
She was a native of Birmingham, Alabama and resident of Houma, Louisiana.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from 
the Chapel Dauphine at Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 
beginning at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Religious service beginning at 7:00 
p.m. 

Interment will follow at Chickasaw Cemetery on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Olla, 
Louisiana

Elizabeth is survived by 5 daughters and 4 sons-in-law; Kathy and Tilford 
Trahan, Elaine and Bobby Guidry, Anne and Mark Lirette, Shirley and Ricky 
LeCompte and Nadine Thibodeaux; 5 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 11 great 
grandsons, 11 great granddaughters and 1 great grandbaby and one on the way.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Rodney 
Girlinghouse; parents, Anthony and Alma Pierce Schmuck.

Elizabeth, who was an avid reader, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-
grandmother and loved by all who knew her. She loved and cherished her five 
beautiful daughters, and was extremely proud of her adoring grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren.

Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Girlinghouse family.
