He was a native of Harahan and a resident of Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in the Magnolia Chapel beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Reflection of Life Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. Bob is survived by his son Robert N. Goss, II and wife Sara; daughter, Bryna Himel and husband Reggie; grandchildren, Gabrielle Goss, Cameron Naquin, Robert N. Goss, III, Britney Smith, Derryn Himel; great-granddaughter, Madisyn Smith; brothers, James “Jimmy” Goss; sisters, Frances “Frankie” Lander and husband Leslie “Butch” Lander, Yvonne Lathan. Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Wanda Chaisson Goss; parents, John and Grady Lucille Foust Goss; brother, John Goss; sister, Margie Lynn Viola; sisters-in-law, Rose Goss and Carolyn Goss. Bob, not your typical man, he enjoyed practical jokes, spending time at his camp at Robinson Canal, watching game shows, enjoyed his western movies and LSU, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family hunting and fishing. He retired as operations manager from Houma Terrebonne Airport Commission after 30 years of service. He was known as a second father to many co-workers and friends. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Goss family. ======================
