He was a native and resident of Dulac, LA. A visitation will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home on October 26, 2016 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and at Holy Family Catholic Church on October 27, 2016 from 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 27, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 11:00AM with burial to follow after services in Holy Family Catholic Church cemetery. Maxie was survived by his daughter, Adilyn Verdin, brothers, Rick Verdin, Clayton Verdin, Wayne Verdin; and sister Shanna Seebode. Maxie is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph McKinley Verdin Jr. and Clara Bourg Verdin, and grandparents Joseph McKinley Verdin Sr and Juanita Foret Verdin and Dalton Bourg and Orena Scott Bourg. Maxie was an avid outdoorsman. Maxie’s pride and joy was his daughter, Adi-Lou; whom he loved dearly. Maxie was a Father first, Master Carpenter, Chef, and Fisher of Men. He will be missed by all who knew him; but never forgotten. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Verdin family. ======================
