A native of and longtime resident of Thibodaux she was born June 28, 1933. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ordoyne Funeral Home and Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:00 AM until service time at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Karen A. Wesche, Kathryn M. Wesche, Janice Bourgeois and husband Mitch Bourgeois, Ericka Rau and husband Dr. Eric Rau; son David F. Wesche and wife Patrizia; grandchildren, Ben (Kate) Bourgeois, Frances (Corey) B. Vasseur, Elise Rau, Caroline (Garrett) R. Marcel, Hank Rau, Alex Wesche, Juliet Rau, Elizabeth Wesche; great grandchildren, Lela Marie Bourgeois, Carter Vasseur, Noel Marcel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Cap" Wesche; parents, Benjamin F. Long, Sr. and Odette Adams Long; brothers, Benjamin F. Long, Jr. and Gerald D. Long. She was a loving wife and mother who gave much of her time to the Thibodaux Community. She was the successful business owner of Lee’s Education Center for 38 years. Her other many accomplishments included, helping with the writing of the Thibodaux High Alma Mater, Girl Scout Troop Leader, Mayor of Thibodaux for the Day and member of the Thibodaux Playhouse. She was an active parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. She will deeply missed by all of her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. ======================
