Charles R. Banta III, 67 Years old, a native and resident of Chackbay, 
Louisiana passed away on November 21, 2016.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, November 25, 2016 at House of 
Prayer, Thibodaux, Louisiana from 8:30 am until the Religious Service at 11:00 
am. 

The burial will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Chackbay, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rae Benoit Banta; two sons, Charles R 
Banta, IV and wife, Aliana, Blaine D Banta and wife, Jessica; mother, Bobbie H. 
Comeaux; stepmother, Pearline Broughton; two brothers, Perry Comeaux and Corey 
Comeaux; three sisters, Marais Mercer, Mary Rodrigue, and Charmaine Sullivan; 
four grandchildren, Kayla, Seth, Elizabeth, and Austen; two beloved pets, Benji 
and Sadie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Banta Jr. and sister, Tanya 
Kinchen.

He was a parish councilman for 3 terms serving District 2. He helped start the 
CIA Sports Club and coached his sons along with many other children in all 
sports. He would go out of his way to help his community in any way possible; 
sand bagging, checking pumps, donating gifts to the unfortunate, and anything 
he saw needed. His most recent passion was his grandchildren; he would do 
anything for them. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
