A native and resident of Thibodaux. She was born February 21, 1926. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 8:30AM until service time at Saint Joseph Co-Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Wilson Benoit, Jr. Labadieville, Ronnie (Cynthia Bradford) Benoit, Houma; daughter, Linda (Norman) Benoit Vicknair, Thibodaux; grandchildren, Tanya (Rusty) Benoit Coleman, Dutchtown, Alison (Brent) Vicknair Jennings, Thibodaux, Monica (Matt) Vicknair Duet, Thibodaux, Jessica (David) Benoit DiSalvo, Houma; great grandchildren, Mallory and Morgan Jennings, Dylan and Riley Duet, Caleb Coleman, Bennett and Mary Grace DiSalvo; brothers, Ernest Usea, Kraemer, Ralph (Margaret) Usea, Kraemer, Robert “Bobby” (Sharleen) Usea, Kraemer; sister, Mable Cortez, Kraemer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Benoit, Sr.; parents, Hansen and Yvonne Cortez Usea; daughter in law, Phyliss Foret Benoit; grandson, Timothy Benoit; brother, Rodney (Regina) Usea; sister in law, Pearl Usea; brother in law, June Cortez. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Church and enjoyed serving Gumbo during Lent for the church. She enjoyed bingo, dancing and visiting the casino. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center. The family would like to thank the staff of Audubon Guest House and St. Catherine's Hospice. ======================
