He was a native of Scott County, Virginia and resident of Houma, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on November 30, 2016 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and on December 1, 2016 from 9:00AM until service time at First Baptist of Houma. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00AM at First Baptist of Houma with Burial to follow service at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Gray, La. He is survived by his loving wife Judy Hebert Bishop; son, Christopher F. Bishop and wife Rebecca A. Bishop; daughters, Darla B. Patrick and husband Jeffrey, Mindy B. Portier and husband John; brothers, Ronnie E. Bishop and wife Ronda, Jeffery L. Bishop; and grandchildren; Andrew Patrick, Robert Patrick, Megan Portier, William Bishop, and Jacob Portier; Frank is preceded by his parents, Sidnie F. Bishop and Reba Durham Bishop; grandchildren, Emily Hope Bishop, Hannah Grace Bishop, Noah Isaac Bishop, and Hayden Sidney Bishop. Frank had an enduring sense of humor and enjoyed a good Boudreaux and Thibodaux joke. He loved to talk and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He had a love of fine cuisine and enjoyed popcorn, seafood gumbo, and “Frank” Cake. Frank was an active member of his church and served as a deacon for many years. He was also their Sunday School Director and served on the finance committee at Christ Baptist Church. Frank’s family would like to thank all the friends and family who help comfort them with love and prayers. He was loved by all and will never be forgotten.
