He was a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 10 AM until funeral time at St. Gregory Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis #2 Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Ellen Walker Dugas; son, Daniel Dugas; stepsons, Alfred Feyerabend III and Paul Feyerabend and wife, Ray Ann; stepdaughters, Dr. Angela Feyerabend and husband, Col. Albion Bergstrom, Donna Feyerabend and husband, Timmy Robichaux, and Lisa Feyerabend; grandchildren, Donovan, Austin, and Theresa Domangue, Victoria and John Bergstrom, and Max Feyerabend; cousins, Vivian Lirette, Jean Johnston and L.J. Landry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Pierre Dugas and Annette Aucoin Bussie; cousins, Clifton Landry and Merlin Baudoin. . He was a faithful parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church. Lawrence proudly served as a member of the US Airforce for 4 years. He was a retired aircraft mechanic who enjoyed rebuilding and flying airplanes. Other hobbies included amateur radio and steel guitar. He was a past member of the Ham Radio Club, Red Wing Aero Club, and the Sheriff’s Flying Posse. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Gregory Barbarigo Capital Improvement Fund or the Regional Military Museum. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dugas Family.
