Marie Stella Levron Melancon, 85, a native of Lockport and a resident of 
Montegut, passed away on November 22, 2016.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 from 8am to 11am at St. Louis 
Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 
28, 2016 at 11am at St. Louis Catholic Church, 

followed by the burial in St. Louis Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her
Children- Jackie Bourg and husband Louis Jr. of Montegut, Gerald Melancon and 
wife Marilyn of Bayou Blue, Lynn Melancon of Bourg, and Lisa Hebert and husband 
Frank of Bourg
Brothers- Herbert Levron and Camille "C.J." Levron
Sisters- Ethel Tabor and Bertha Bivalacqua
Grandchildren- 12
Great Grandchildren- 26
Great Great Grandchildren- 8

She was preceded in death by her
Husband- Murphy Joseph Melancon
Parents- Dewey and Hattie Levron
Brother- Huey Levron
Grandchild- Sherry Bourg Boquet
Great grandchild- Mitchell Bourg

Marie was a retired educator in the Terrebonne Parish School system. She loved 
the Saints, the Chicago Cubs, and was an avid Bingo player. She also enjoyed 
playing the football pool and her yearly trip to the casino. She was a loving 
wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by 
family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at West Jefferson 
Medical Center for their care and support.
