Rosemary Nixon, age 65, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma, 
transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

Visiting will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Dularge Community 
Baptist Church in Houma from 9:00am until the hour of service at 11:00am. 

Burial in Mechanicville Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Christopher “Albert” Nixon; 2 
sons, Earnest and Willars (Crystal) Woods; 1 daughter, Cousuella Woods; 1 
stepdaughter, Cierra Nixon; 1 brother, Lionel Vallian; 8 sisters, Brenda Smith 
(John), Rita Brown (Nicholas), Mary Jasper, Roslyn Woods, Leola Watson (Ray), 
Telisha, Charlynn and Wakeyna Woods; a devoted friend, Margaret Dumas; 31 
grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Vivan and Earnest Woods; 2 sons, Dwight and 
Derrick Woods; 1 brother, Lewis Woods; 1 grandson, John Darjean; Materal 
grandparents, Leola and Herman Mason.

Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
