Bessie Thibodaux Ordoyne, a native of Lockport and resident of Thibodaux passed 
away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the age of 95. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, 
November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in 
Thibodaux. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church. 

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. 

Bessie is survived by her son, Michael Ordoyne (Sandy); her daughter, Earline 
Chaisson (A.J.); 15 Grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great 
grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Joseph Ordoyne; parents, Joseph 
and Irma Rogers Thibodaux; sons, Nolan Ordoyne, Jr. and Roussell Ordoyne; 
daughter, Nancy Jernigan; brothers, Edward and Essay Thibodaux; and her 
sisters, Alexina Adams, Alexandrine Knight, Loridia Orgeron, Ella Mae Guidry, 
Nora Orgeron and Lillian Robichaux.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
