Visitation will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 from 9:30am to 12:30pm, followed by the memorial mass at 12:30pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. He is survived by his Beloved wife of 61 years, Bertha Mae Robichaux Pellegrin; five children- Deborah Pellegrin Trosclair and husband Steve, Kim Pellegrin Spence, Steven Pellegrin Jr., Rhonda Pellegrin Credeur and husband Todd, and Stacey Pellegrin and Liz Nix; Siblings- Gloria Pellegrin Babin and husband Milton, and Ronald Joseph Pellegrin; Sister-in-law- Barbara Fanguy Pellegrin; 12 Grandchildren- Hollie, Nikki, Ryan, Michelle, Danielle, Tiffany, Kami, Ashli, Cody, L'erin, Todd Jr., and Kaci;17 Great Grandchildren;1 great great grandchild on the way He was preceded in death by his Son- Timothy John Pellegrin; Parents- Sy Pellegrin and Edia Neil Pellegrin; Step Father- Edward Adams; Siblings- Silas, Betty, and Gelpi Pellegrin Steven was a lifelong resident of Terrebonne Parish, a graduate of Terrebonne High School class of 1955, and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a retired tug boat captain and self-employed commercial fisherman aboard the "Captain Sy" when he earned the title "Mayor of Cocodrie". He was renowned for the ways his feet would glide along the dance floor, as he swung hand-in-hand with his wife, "Mae Mae", to the jitterbug. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being on the water, and watching sports. Steven was best known for his fun-loving and spirited humor, and he will be dearly missed by his family and by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank the excellent care received by TGMC, AMG, and Family Doctor Clinic. Samart is in charge of arrangements. ======================
