Westerman, 62, was born on March 11, 1954 and passed away on November 9, 2016. He was a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA and also spent many years in Houston, TX. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux from 8:30 am until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at noon with burial to follow in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Valerie Knight Westerman; daughters, Cassie Scrivner and husband, Steven and Alicia Westerman; stepsons, Courtney Caldarera and wife Tracy and Josh Caldarera and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Olivia Caldarera, Malorie Scrivner, Ashley Caldarera, Jenna Scrivner, Jessie Scrivner, Cohen Caldarera, Kynlee Caldarera, and Rylee Caldarera; mother, Maryann Benoit Westerman; sisters, Kim Adams and husband, Hugh, Jill Olivier and husband, Mike, and Amy Guidry and husband, Shanon; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Westerman, and grandchildren, Ella Grace Percle, Brianna Daigle, Cason Harriss, and Luke and Logan Constant. He retired from Grantprideco/NOV out of Houston where he worked for 17 years. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and golfing. His true joy in life was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He fought a long battle with Leukemia and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Laura Chauvin, Dr. Chester Boudreaux, and Dr. Paul Monier as well as the staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and MD Anderson.
