Michael "Mike" Jude Authement, 54, a lifelong resident of Bayou Blue, passed 
away on December 17, 2016. 

He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed volunteering his time to 
the 4-H Clubs. He loved helping others and will continue helping through being 
an organ donor. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at Samart Funeral Home from 
6pm until 9pm. The visitation will continue Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. 
Louis Catholic Church from 9am until 11am. A Mass of Christian burial will 
commence at 11am. 

Burial will take place in the St. Louis Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Viola Dupre Authement, son, Joshua Authement; 
daughter, Katie A. Richard and her husband Randy; Parents, Leland and Joyce 
Triche Authement, brother, Douglas James Authement; God Child, Brooke 
Authement, mother-in-law, Eva Durpe; two step-grandchildren, Parker Richard, 
Olivia Richard.

Samart is in charge of arrangements.
