Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1612.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Lawrence Jefferson Bueche, Jr., 91, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana died December 19, 2016 at 4:34 p.m. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00AM at the church with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Antoinette Fanguy Bueche, children, Kerry Francis Bueche and wife Jan of Houma, Laura Bueche Landry and husband Roy of Houma, Michael John Bueche and wife Sandra Diane of Houma, Philip Gerard Bueche and wife Cathy of Houma, Gene Thomas Bueche and wife Mary Catherine of Houma, Sister Ellen Anne of the Cross, Mobile, Alabama, Christopher Jude Bueche and wife Linda of Houma, Mary Bueche Voisin and husband Grant of Houma, John Anthony Bueche of Houma, and Carl Matthew Bueche of Houma, siblings, Gloria Bueche Eschete of Houma, Carol Bueche Eschete of St. Louis, Missouri, Errol Stephen Bueche of Columbus, Ohio, and Mary Diane Bueche Theriot of Houma, 28 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence J. Bueche and Stella Jackson Bueche, siblings, Marianne Bueche Whitney, Francis Kenton Bueche, Winnie Mae Bueche Domangue, Jean Catherine Bueche (Sr. Marie Caroline du Pasteur) and Glenda Bueche Vice. Mr. Lawrence was the former owner of Ye Old Tavern at Southland Mall and of Bueche’s Jewelry. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in W.W.II, with the rank SM3C. He was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council 6170 and a member of the American Legion. He was an extraordinary Minister at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. He was a retired jeweler. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Russell Henry and Haydel Hospice.
