Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2016/f1612.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Gloria Voisin Champagne, 85, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Theriot, died at 2:02pm on December 13, 2016. Visitation will be from 5:30PM until 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, December 16, 2016 and Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, Louisiana. Burial will be in St. Eloi Catholic Church cemetery following directly after the Mass. She is survived by three daughters, Maria C. Theriot and husband Carroll of Theriot, Ann Carol Lafont of Gretna, and Ellen C. Dugas of Theriot; three sons, Hubert Joseph (Joey) Champagne, Jr. and wife Debra of Theriot, Michael J. Champagne and wife Dana (Dino) of Houma, and Edward P. Champagne and wife Heidi of Carencro; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 step- grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Voisin Grabert of Raceland, and Ethel Voisin Brunet and husband Kirvie of Theriot; and one brother, Nolan Voisin of Theriot; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert J. Champagne, Sr.; parents, Cyprian and Theresa Dupre Voisin; six brothers, Andy, Wilbert, Chester, Ruby, Ray, and Ronald Voisin; and one grandchild, Remy Jude Dugas. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church and was deeply devoted to Jesus and her family. She loved to cook and bake, garden (especially roses), sew, watch football, and just be with family and friends. She was a wonderful mother and will be greatly missed.
