Irvin John DeHart Jr., 72 years, a native of Theriot, LA and resident of Houma, 
LA passed away on December 3, 2016.

Visitation will be held at Samart Funeral Home from 5 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, 
December 4, 2016 and on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 9 AM until 11 AM. Funeral 
Services will begin at 11AM at Samart Funeral Home. 

Burial will follow in Roger's Cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ruby Lovell DeHart; sons, Lyle 
(Macey) DeHart, Irvin DeHart, III; daughters, Zanobia (Albert) DeHart, Angel 
(Todd) Fancher, Zenia (Emmeth) Smith, Marcia DeHart, Kittia DeHart; brothers, 
Reginald (Denise) DeHart, Wayne (Marsha) DeHart; sisters, Verdie (Charles) 
Lovell, Jeanette (Buddy) Daisy, Judy Dieck, Katherine (Dana) Lirette, Carles 
Neal, Pamela Duncan; grandchildren, Toby (Magan)DeHart, Catz (Courtney), Kylie, 
and John Jr. Smith, Richard, Chelsey (Anthony), Brant Fancher, Emmeth 
Jr.(Kaelin) and Brian Smith and Ti DeHart and Rosa Anna-Clair and Alana Brooke 
Cauthen; and great-grandchildren, Toby Jr., Sage, Zagan DeHart, Catzity, 
Colten, Drew, Hayden, Bailey, Cameron, Avayah, Braydon, Braya-Lynn, Isabella 
and Xaidyn Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin DeHart Sr. and Thelma Guidry 
DeHart; brothers, Curtis DeHart Sr. and Clifford DeHart Sr.; sisters, Marylynn 
Fanguy and Susan DeHart; and one grandchild, Brianna Smith.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to help with funeral expenses.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
